Our Partnership With Hey Girls

SaniStation is partnering with Hey Girls to further the fine work done by the community interest company in eradicating period poverty in the UK.

The Hey Girls (heygirls.co.uk) mission is for every period product they sell to donate another to someone in need.  Since 2018, they have donated 19 million products, but there’s still loads more to do, which is why SaniStation are very keen to support their work into 2022 and beyond.

The team at SaniStation had already developed the free-dispense Period Products Dispenser in collaboration with NHS Grampian in Scotland.  It was an easy conversation to add in the Hey Girls period products and develop a unique offer for private and publicly funded organisations across the UK.

Celia Hodson, CEO & Founder of Hey Girls, said: “We supply a range of schools, colleges, universities and workplaces across the UK with our sustainable period products. Having a new SaniStation dispenser that limits cross contamination is a great option for our customers’ washrooms for people to access free period products in a Covid-safe way.”

Period poverty is still a rising social issue, with an estimated 1 in 10 people* struggling to access period products, with this figure rising to 3 in 10 during the pandemic.
